What the center does for buyers
The Vietnam Marketing Center is DGMC’s permanent local point of contact in Vietnam. It is based in Hanoi and works in both Vietnamese and Korean. That means you do not need your own interpreter, you do not need to send an English email and wait, and you do not need to guess who to ask. Ask in Vietnamese, and the center will check with the Korean side and answer you in Vietnamese. The ten companies on this site are the ones that have chosen the Vietnamese market. If what you need is not among them, the center can look through the cooperative’s 467 member companies.
Before you buy
· Finding a manufacturer among the members that fits the part or equipment you need · Passing your drawings and specifications to the Korean side and bringing back quotations and delivery terms · Arranging online meetings with the manufacturer’s staff, with interpretation · Providing company and product material in Vietnamese · Arranging factory visits in Korea — airport pickup, workspace, and someone with you in meetings
After you buy
When you import equipment, the biggest question is usually what happens if it breaks. The center receives service and repair requests locally, contacts the manufacturer in Korea, and supports site visits where needed. This function was added after the center began operating and is running now. What can be covered differs by product and by company, so please check with us in advance.
Where you can meet in person
Beyond online meetings, the cooperative brings its member companies to Vietnam each year. At the METALEX Vietnam exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, it has run a Daegu City joint pavilion three years running — 2022, 2023 and 2024. Trade missions also travel to meet buyers face to face: Ho Chi Minh City in 2022, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2023, and Hanoi in 2024, 2025 and 2026. If you would like an invitation to the booth or a matching session at the next round, please contact the center in advance.
If you are thinking longer term
Some things go beyond a single order. The center supports those cases too: · Market and import-price research on a specific product category in Vietnam · Matching and one-to-one consultation with local industry specialists · Placing product information in Vietnamese trade publications, translation included · Legal advice for Korean companies setting up a subsidiary or representative office in Vietnam These offerings change from year to year.
